This is a rich and profound red with blackberries, blackcurrants, pine needles and graphite. Black licorice, too. Full-bodied, crisp and creamy with fantastic tannin backbone and length. Deep. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 23% merlot, 14% cabernet franc, 2% petit verdot and 1% carmenere. Try after 2022.

Chateau Clerc Milon is a famous producer situated in the Pauillac region of Bordeaux. The Chateau was classified as a fifth growth wine in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The wines of Chateau Clec Milon are well-loved for their richness and intensity, with a unique and noble nose and soft tannins. In the blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot as well as Carmenère (Chateau Clerc Milon maintains one of the most extensive plantings of Carmenere, also known as the "extinct" variety in France). Chateau Clerc Milon was founded by Baron Philippe Rothschild, along with its sister estate Château d'Armailhac and the legendary wine Château Mouton Rothschild.
