MOËT & CHANDON
Grand Vintage 2009
MOËT & CHANDON
Vintaged champagne from Moet & Chandon is always a delight. 2009 is one of the best grape-growing years in the region and this vintage perfectly captures the exceptional qualities of the terroir and spirit of Moet & Chandon. Unlike other Chardonnay-dominant vintages, the 2009 is dominated by Pinot Noir (50%) giving the Wine unqiue intensity and depth. A must for Champagne lovers.

Champagne Varnier Fanniere
Grand Vintage Grand Cru N.V.
Champagne Varnier Fanniere
The 2010 Brut Grand Vintage is bit more nervous and tense next to the 2009 tasted alongside it. Even so, there is no shortage of power or intensity in the citrus, mineral floral and lightly honeyed notes. Readers who find the 2009 a bit too opulent are likely to find more pleasure in the 2010, a Champagne of steely resolve and personality. Dosage is 7 grams per liter.

Champagne David Leclapart
L’ Apotre Blanc de Blanc Premier Cru Brut Nature N.V.
Champagne David Leclapart
Léclapart’s top cuvée, L’Apôtre, is a single-vineyard champagne from the lieu-dit of La Pierre St-Martin. The vineyard was planted by David’s Grandfather in 1946 and the Wine is vinified entirely in secondhand barrique from Domaine Leflaive in Burgundy. The Wine show old vine concentration, is super complex with tonnes of finesse. Wild and full of character, with chalky lemon and biscuity savoriness. The composure is beautiful. Super dry, gently spicy and succulent. An entrancing and alluring Champagne

Champagne David Leclapart
L’ Astre Blanc de Noir Premier Cru Brut Nature N.V.
Champagne David Leclapart
The fruit for this Wine has previously gone into a rosé called L’Alchimiste. Léclapart decided, in 2011, to make a Blanc de Noir style instead, as the fruit was not prefect for maceration. It is likely that in the future the rosé will once again return in certain vintages, but for now he is thrilled with the result. The fruit is from old vines, planted in the 50’s and 60’s and entirely vinified in secondhand barriques. Crushed roses and oyster shell, with gently spicy strawberries and wild cherries. The palate has a supple and fleshy texture that winds out to a powerful, dry and intense, minerally focus on the finish.

Champagne Flavien Nowack
La Tuilerie Extra Brut N.V.
Champagne Flavien Nowack
Sourced entirely from a 1.20 ha plot called La Tuilerie. Vines average 25 years in age – the soils is white sand & limestone with marine subsoil (about 1.5-2 meters under the surface) and the land is directly facing south at 100-120 meters above sea level. Primary fermentation in 2/3 tank and 1/3 barrel (228 liter). Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 36 months sur lattes and disgorged in January 2018. Vines are farmed biodynamically and secondary fermentation is executed with grape must, giving way to soft, delicate Wines. ‘La Tuilerie’ is a rich Blanc de Blancs, showing notes of citrus, white flowers, biscuit, and wet minerals. An absolute knockout-- the perfect aperitif before a long meal.
