TRAVAGLINI GATTINARA
Travaglini Gattinara is THE wine for hardcore Barolo fans. Located in the Piedmont wine region of Italy, the estate produces DOCG classified wines, including the Gattinara, Tre Vigne, and the Riserva. Meticulously produced using a mix of traditional and modern methods, the wine displays characteristic Nebbiolo intensity, with sufficiently plush yet smooth-as-silk tannins. Great depth is found in its red fruit aromas and mineral traits. Of note is the uniquely-shaped bottle, which is designed in 1958 and kept as an icon of Travaglini Gattinara's wines ever since. The shape of the bottle traps sediments, allowing the wines to be poured from the bottle without the need for a decanter.
