Aromas of blackcurrants, black tea, iodine, some plums and mushrooms, following through to a medium to full body, chewy yet polished tannins and a long, long finish. It builds on the palate. This needs at least two or three years to soften, but already a beauty. Really excellent.

GIACONDA
Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018
GIACONDA
Dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Pretty scents of violets, dark cherries and strawberries have a perfumed like quality to them. A seductive overlay of dried clove, some meaty notes, forest floor, dried herbs and spice are also evident. Both powerful and moreish the palate has expansive red to dark cherry and winter strawberry fruits which are silken in their feel over a back drop of clove, forest floor, lightly smoked cedar and spicy dried herbs.

Howard Park
Flint Rock Pinot Noir 2015
Howard Park
The nose is treated to poached rhubarb and red cherry aromas, with notes of mild potpourri, prosciutto, ripe strawberry and a very subtle hint of baking spice. The energetic, well integrated acid line that frames attractive young Pinot is well supported by a supple mouthfeel that delivers those persistent cherry and smoked strawberry flavours to all corners of the mouth and leaves lingering hints of savoury spice, and ferrous earth characters which will build increasing complexity in the Wine as it evolves with bottle age.
