CHÂTEAU GRAND-PUY DUCASSE
Pauillac Grand Cru Classé AOC 2016
75CL
Inky in colour, dark with violet reflections. The nose is very dense and concentrated, rich in very delicious black fruits. The aromatic freshness is absolute and creates an impression of tension.

Medium bodied with strong undercurrent of spice and blackberry/plum notes. This wine has reasonable acid balance and a soft mouth feel. The oak is restrained and does not overpower the fruit.

Rich and ripe, a classic Australian Shiraz. Plum, sweet vanilla oak and a hint of pepper on the nose herald the flavours to come on the palate. A beautifully structured wine with layers of complexity of fruit, spice and oak.

CHÂTEAU GRAND-PUY DUCASSE
Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a wine estate in Pauillac. Under the name Artigues Arnaud, it was rated as a Fifth Growth in the Bordeaux Classification of 1855. The vineyards are around 62 percent Cabernet Sauvignon on silica and gravel soils, and 38 percent Merlot on sandy gravel soils. A second wine, Prélude à Grand-Puy Ducasse, is made from younger vines. This is aged for around the same duration as the grand vin but with only 10-15 percent new oak.
